The study aimed to evaluate the learning outcomes of Year 4 students in the English Department at Savannakhet University regarding thesis writing. The specific objectives were to examine students' knowledge and abilities in thesis writing, study their techniques and application of theories/documents, and assess their understanding of the Thesis Writing Report. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews with 80 students, with 63 forms returned. The assessment utilized the CIPP Model of Stufflebeam (1971), focusing on the knowledge and understanding of Year 4 students in learning Thesis Writing. The findings revealed a high level of understanding across seven thesis writing report topics, with an average mean of 4.26. The standard deviation (0.13) indicated consistency among the 63 students, meeting assessment criteria. Overall, students demonstrated a significant understanding of the learning outcomes in thesis writing, as evidenced by a mean of 4.26 and a standard deviation (0.13) within the assessment criteria.
